RESCHEDULING OF PUBLIC HEARING ON SERVICE MODIFICATIONS TO THE COMET SERVICE EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2020

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by The COMET Board of Directors at Lowell C. Spires Regional Transit Facility, 3613 Lucius Road, Columbia, SC 29021 on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. to consider the addition of new routes to support the UofSC Transit routes powered by The COMET and to restore Orbit Route 4 on a weekday schedule only.

The following new routes to be added are:

  • Route 13 – North Loop
  • Route 14 – Express
  • Route 15 – Yellow
  • Route 16 – Greek Village Lunch Express
  • Route 17 – Green
  • Route 18 – Red
  • Route 19 – Blue
  • Route 20 – West Campus
  • Route 23 – MTC Gateway Beltline Campus
  • Route 24 – Evening 1
  • Route 25 – Evening 2
  • Route 94 – MTC Gateway Airport Campus

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the public hearing is available by calling  +1 803-462-5021 and entering Conference ID: 906 352 699# at 12:00 noon.   If you want to attend in person,  meeting location is accessible via The COMET Route 6 or DART (for eligible riders) by making a reservation to 803.255.7123. A face covering is required, as well as social distancing.
