Trolley Procurement

The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (The COMET) will accept proposals from qualified manufacturers for the delivery of a new low floor medium or heavy duty trolley bus.   This is joint procurement between The COMET and Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA).   The COMET at the minimum would require one (1) trolley bus and PDRTA would require one (1) trolley bus.  Total maximum trolley vehicles for the duration of the five (5) year contract timeframe is 10 between the two agencies.

All proposals must be submitted by Friday, November 1, 2019, by 10 a.m., EDT.  Please reference the RFP document(s) for submission requirements.  The COMET encourages the use of recycled paper, and where practicable, printed on both sides, for all submittals.

There will not be a pre-proposal conference for this RFP.

The RFP seeks a Contractor to provide the scope of services requested herein this RFP.  The prime Contractor shall provide and pay for all materials, tools, equipment, labor and professional and non-professional services, and shall perform all other acts and supply all other things necessary, to fully and properly perform and complete the work. The Contractor must assume full responsibility for any subcontractor’s performance. The Contractor will be considered the sole point of contact with regard to all situations, including payment of all charges and the meeting of all other requirements.
