THE COMET ANNOUNCES NEW LOOK COMING FOR THE SODA CAP CONNECTOR

November 15, 2019

(November 15, 2019) Columbia, SC – Just in time for the holiday season, The COMET announces a festive new look for the popular circular, The Soda Cap Connector. Two of the Soda Cap Connector buses will soon be trolleys.

“This is our gift to the people of Columbia and the visitors to our city,” said John Andoh, Executive Director and CEO of The COMET. “Using the trolleys will enhance the experience of exploring downtown Columbia, West Columbia and Cayce in a fun and interesting way. We hope that the excitement of a trolley ride encourages more people to take advantage of this great service.”

The Soda Cap Connector is a simple system of dedicated routes that connect riders to major Columbia destinations, including State Museum, the Vista, Mainstreet District, the State House, Five Points, Allen University, Benedict College, West Columbia, Cayce, the Convention Center, UofSC and Segra Park, as well as other destinations of interest. The service is free to ride and operates Sunday thru Wednesday 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Thursday thru Saturday 9 a.m. until Midnight. Look for Soda Cap Connector signs at various stops in downtown Columbia, West Columbia and Cayce.

The change is expected to take place during the winter 2019/2020 holiday season. For more information visit www.catchthecomet.org.
