The COMET Launches Fresh Food Pilot Partnership with Rare Variety Farms

(May 7, 2020) Columbia, SC – The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (The COMET) announced a new pilot partnership with Rare Variety Farms. The partnership was developed to help overcome food deserts in underserved areas.

Beginning __________, the pilot will serve residents of The Colony Apartments and Northepoint Apartments with fresh food deliveries.  The delivery days will be Wednesday,  Thursday and Friday.  A minimum of 10 boxes will be delivered each day.  Residents of the Colony and will be able to order CSA boxes from our website at rarevarietyfarms.com.  As a promotion,  we are giving away 30 boxes a week.

Once on the site, the residents can select the CSA box, add it to their cart and select the Axiom Express Delivery option.
