The FTA Triennial Review and SCDOT Compliance and Oversight Review
The Triennial Review is one of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT) management tools for examining The COMET’s performance and adherence to current FTA requirements and policies. Mandated by Congress in 1982, the Triennial Review occurs once every three years and examines The COMET’s use of FTA funds. It also examines how recipients of FTA funds meet statutory and administrative requirements.
The FTA requires the SCDOT to perform a Compliance and Oversight Review on its subrecipients at least once every three years to evaluate the subrecipient’s performance in carrying out designated programs. The review provides information related to compliance with statutory and administrative requirements and with actual program activities consistent with budgetary proposed activities, etc.
