Affected routes: Soda Caps 1 & 4 COMET: 21,42, 44x, 61,91,92, and 401 Effective immediately: NO eating/drinking on the buses until the pandemic is over in order to comply with the Federal mask requirements Effective Immediately, per CDC Guidelines, Masks Must Be Worn When Using The COMET and Accessing its Facilities! TransLoc and My Transit Manager is not available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. A new system will be available in March of 2021

Public Notice Regarding Special Board of Directors Meeting on October 20, 2021


A special called meeting of the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (The COMET) Board of Directors will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at noon. The meeting will be held at the Lowell C. Spires Jr. Regional Transit Facility – 3613 Lucius Road, Columbia, SC 29201 in the Conference Room A (Large).


Due to COVID-19 and recent orders by the City of Columbia, Richland County, State of South Carolina and Federal Government, the meeting will be available in real time via Zoom. Meetings are recorded and may be accessed afterwards through The COMET’s YouTube page at:
